Larson wins writing awards
Dana Larsen, editor of the Pilot-Tribune in Storm Lake and a former employee of The Messenger, earned Master Columnist and Excellence in Editorial Writing honors, as well as a Harrison “Skip” Weber Investigative Reporting Award at the Iowa Newspaper Association’s annual convention in Des Moines Feb. 6.
Out of about 4,200 entries, the Pilot-Tribune earned a General Excellence Award in its size category.
