Two-way traffic coming to downtown
First Avenue North between Seventh and 12th streets will be converted to two-way traffic beginning on Monday.
Vehicles parking on the north side of the street will have to face west due to the new traffic pattern.
First Avenue South between Third and Sixth streets will also be converted to two-way traffic. The Fort Dodge city engineering staff reported that the traffic change on that street will follow the change on First Avenue North and will be completed by Friday.
Both changes will be permanent.
