Dayton water main repairs continue
DAYTON – Work on a water main break in downtown Dayton continued Friday, with crews expected to complete repairs by the end of the day.
Dayton City Clerk Randy Danielson said work crews believed they had located the break early Friday afternoon and said he was hopeful repairs would be done by the afternoon.
If not, Danielson said crews were prepared to work through the weekend repairing the line.
The water main broke Tuesday evening at Main Street and First Street Southwest. Crews began digging to find the break on Thursday.
A boil advisory is in effect for the town until further notice.
