FORT DODGE -- Matt Cosgrove River's Edge Discovery Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. TODAY and 9 a.m. to noon SATURDAY at 20 N. First St. Free admission. On Saturday, there will be a 10 a.m. presentation by Stephanie Shepherd, about bald eagles. Shepherd is a wildlife diversity biologist. Matt Cosgrove River's Edge Discovery Center, 20 N. First St. Free admission; coffee and light snacks will be provided.

LEHIGH -- The Lehigh Methodist Church will be serving Second Sunday Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. SUNDAY for a freewill offering. The menu is chicken and noodles on top of mashed potatoes, dessert and a drink. Carryouts are available by calling 515-359-2329 after 4 p.m. Sunday.
BADGER -- The Lions Club of Badger will hold its fall pancake day from 8 a.m. to noon SUNDAY at the Badger Fire Station. The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, plus sausage and eggs for a freewill donation. Proceeds will benefit Lions projects.
