One person was apparently shot Wednesday night in Webster County and an investigation is underway.
The shooting was reported at about 8:30 p.m. at Lizard Creek Ranch, 1762 Johnson Ave. That location is the former Rabiner Boys Ranch just west of Fort Dodge.
One person was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health -- Trinity Regional Medical Center.
Later, a second ambulance was called to the scene to transport another patient, but that individual apparently did not have a gunshot wound.
Webster County sheriff's deputies were on the scene late into Wednesday night, conducting the investigation.
They were assisted at the scene by Fort Dodge police, the Iowa State Patrol, Barnum firefighters and ambulance crews from the Fort Dodge Fire Department.
