A woman is accused of deliberately running over a man with a car early Tuesday morning, according to court records.
Loreen M. Yeager, 42, 368 Ave. M West, faces multiple charges as a result of the incident.
According to criminal complaints filed against her, Yeager ran over a man with her 2012 Chrysler 200 at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of South 17th Street. Fort Dodge police reported that the man suffered multiple serious injuries.
In the criminal complaints, officers wrote that Yeager "willfully and intentionally hit and ran over" the man. While doing so, her car crossed the street and went into the side yard of a house, according to the complaints.
Yeager was arrested by Fort Dodge police and charged with:
• Assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.
• Leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious injury.
• Reckless driving.
• Domestic abuse assault, first offense.
• Failure to maintain control.
Yeager made her initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court later Tuesday morning.
Magistrate Brandy R. Lundy ordered her to be held in jail on $20,000 cash-only bond.
A preliminary hearing and pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 8 on most of the charges. Court action on the lesser offenses of reckless driving and failure to maintain control were continued for 180 days.
