One person died in an early Saturday morning shooting in Fort Dodge, and a man has been arrested, the Police Department reported.
Police reported that Jamarcus L. Gully, of Fort Dodge, was arrested an charged with:
* First degree murder
* Attempt to commit murder of a peace officer
* Two counts of attempt to commit murder
The shooting happened at 12:29 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of South Fourth Street.
Police reported that an officer saw a man shooting a handgun in front of the Fourth Street Depot, 300 S. Fourth St, with multiple people injured. The officer fired at him and the suspect went into the Fourth Street Depot, police reported. Webster County sheriff’s deputies arrested the suspect,identified as Gully, in the 400 block of Third Avenue South.
Two men were taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center, where one of them died.
Police have not identified the victims of the shooting.
