SAC CITY -- A Shenandoah man entered a plea of not guilty and waived his right to a speedy trial on Monday in the first-degree murder case of Rylie-Shea Muhlbauer.
Joshua Lehman, 27, pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in a written arraignment filed Monday in Sac County District Court in the Aug. 2 death of Muhlbauer.
Lehman had previously entered a not guilty plea while waiving a preliminary hearing on Aug. 13. Lehman's formal arraignment was scheduled for Monday.
According to court documents, Lehman is accused of "acting willfully, deliberately, with
premeditation, and with the specific intent to kill Rylie-Shea Frankee Muhlbauer, shot Rylie-Shea Frankee Muhlbauer with a firearm, firing a bullet into her head as she lay in a bed inside the residence located at 200 E Shore Drive, Lake View."
Muhlbauer died as a result of being shot.
