The Webster County Supervisors voted to install stop signs on 320th Street Tuesday.
According to Webster County Engineer Jamie Johll, the stop signs are meant to slow increased traffic on the north-south roads by the POET ethanol plant.
"This is a farm-to-market road," said Supervisor Nathan Montgomery. "It will be busy all fall. Hopefully this will help to slow traffic down and keep everyone safe."
The supervisors also proclaimed September 2026 as Recovery Month with a hope of "celebrating recovery and reducing stigma."
A sharing agreement was also approved between the Webster County Health Department and Sac County and Calhoun County to temporarily share environmental health services.
The supervisors tabled agenda items to accept low bids for new mini split units for the Yell Building's basement and second floor server rooms. According to Montgomery, there are currently humidity issues that need to be corrected and figured into the bids.
