A long line of fire trucks was near Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Moorland Saturday morning for the funeral of Moorland Fire Chief Ken Thompson. Thompson, who had been the fire chief for 20 years, died July 12 at age 65. The fire departments that had trucks in the lineup and subsequent funeral procession were Moorland, Harcourt, Callender, Gowrie, Manson, Otho, Reading-Cedar (Farnhamville), Barnum, and Webster County Emergency Management.
