Supervisors approve purchase of tractor

Annual budget transfers approved

The Webster County Supervisors approved the purchase of a John Deere tractor for the Secondary Roads Department Tuesday.

The supervisors approved the purchase of a John Deere 6140M tractor from KC Nielsen, Ltd. for $157,800.63. The tractor will be a replacement for another in the Roads Department’s fleet. According to Webster County Engineer Jamie Johll, the tractor will be paid for from FY27’s budget.

Two Schulte FX-1200C mowers from Anderson Implement LLC were also approved for purchase for $34,172.72 each. According to Johll, one will be pulled behind the tractor that was approved for purchase earlier in the meeting and the second will be pulled behind a tractor already in the fleet.

The supervisors also approved multiple transfers of funds throughout various department budgets, including the public health fund, secondary roads fund, urban renewal, the LOSST fund, and the trails fund.

“The transfers from today’s meeting typically happen every year and are included in the budget to be transferred,” said Webster County Finance and Budget Director Krystal Lloyd.

Starting at $4.94/week.
