Knights of Columbus raise money for Honor Flight

-Submitted photo
The Fort Dodge Knights of Columbus recently donated $1,225 to the Brushy Creek Area Honor Flight. Shown at the presentation are, from left, Mike Lawler of the Knights of Columbus; Sara Murphy, president of the Brushy Creek Area Honor Flight board; and Eric Anderson, of the Knights of Columbus. The presentation was made on the grounds of the Blanden Memorial Art Museum. The Knights hold a fish fry every Friday night during Lent, where they have a table set up for Honor Flight donations. They serve from 600 to 800 people each night. There are different degrees of Knighthood starting with first to fourth degree. The main tenet of fourth degree is patriotism, which is why they support the veterans through the Honor Flight.

Starting at $4.62/week.
