FORT DODGE — Frontier Days will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. TODAY with opening ceremony, live music and kids zone. SATURDAY hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The parade will be held in downtown Fort Dodge beginning at 10 a.m. SUNDAY hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 for a wristband, $5 for ages 2-11, for the weekend. Activities include a car show from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and farmers market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Iowa Central Community College parking lot, bingo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, a Civil War-era dance Saturday evening, historic demonstrations, Hole in the Sock gang, buckskinners camp, Lions Club pancake breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, food trucks and more.
FORT DODGE — The Fort Dodge Ford Lincoln Toyota — Ja-Mar Cruise is 5 to 8 p.m. TODAY at Fort Dodge Ford Lincoln Toyota parking lot, 2723 Fifth Ave. S. There will be cars, motorcycles, food vendors, music and outdoor family fun. The event is free and open to the public.
FORT DODGE — The Karl L. King Municipal Band of Fort Dodge will open their 2026 summer season at 7:30 p.m. on SUNDAY at the Karl L. King Band Shell in Oleson Park. The concert will be preceded by an ice cream social for a freewill donation, served by the Southeast Valley Fine Arts Boosters starting around 6:30 pm. In case of inclement weather at the starting time, the concert may be delayed or cancelled. Any announcement will be made on the band’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/karlkingband.
