FORT DODGE — Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1436 21st Ave. N., will hold its annual car show from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. TODAY. Cars, trucks and motocycles welcome. There will be door prizes and trophies awarded. Freewill donation to enter. Free hot dog, chips and a drink will be provided. Ice cream floats will be for sale. Proceeds will be donated to Lutheran Family Service of Iowa.
FORT DODGE — The Fort Museum, 1 Museum Road, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. TODAY, and noon to 4 p.m. SATURDAY and SUNDAY. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and veterans with ID, $4 for children ages 5-17 and free for children ages 4 and younger.
FORT DODGE — Fort Dodge Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at 11 N. 25th St.
FORT DODGE — Karl L. King Municipal Band Concert is 7:30 p.m. SUNDAY at the Karl L. King Band Shell in Oleson Park. There is no admission charge, courtesy of the city of Fort Dodge. Persons attending are reminded to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. No seating is provided.
FORT DODGE — The fifth annual Fort Dodge Pride Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. SATURDAY on Central Avenue between 10th and 12th Streets in downtown Fort Dodge.
FORT DODGE — Lunch on Central will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. TODAY in the alley in the 700 block of Central Avenue between The Messenger and the Webster County Courthouse. The cost is $8. The menu will be pork burger or tenderloin, pasta salad, potato chips and bottled water. Desserts will be offered for purchase by the Trinity United Methodist Youth Group.

BADGER — Badger Lutheran Church will hold a steak fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. TODAY. The cost is $25. The menu includes ribeye steak, baked potato, baked beans, green beans, salads and dinner rolls. Kids 12 and under receive a free hot dog meal. Proceeds will go to help fund our Summer Lunch Program that provides free lunch to our community during the school summer vacation.
WEBSTER CITY — Webster City Community Theatre will perform “Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.” at 7 p.m. TODAY and SATURDAY and and 2 p.m. SATURDAY and SUNDAY. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children aged 18 and younger. Tickets may be purchased online at wccommtheatre.ludus.com.
HUMBOLDT — Humboldt Farmer’s Market is 8 a.m. to noon SATURDAY in Parley Finch Plaza, downtown Humboldt. This week is Touch a Truck.
GOWRIE — To kick off a week of Gowrie Fourth of July events, the Central Plains FFA Tractor Ride will meet at 7:30 a.m. SATURDAY at Laurel Park, Gowrie, with the ride to begin at 8 a.m. On SUNDAY, Zion Lutheran Church will hold worship at 9:30 a.m., and United Methodist Church will hold worship at 10:15 a.m. Also SUNDAY, Gowrie Downtown Market will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Gowrie Historical Museum will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the Gowrie Park-A-Palooza will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Laurel Park, including a Pickleball Tournament, Disc Golf Tournament, cornhole free play, horseshoes free play, many more activities and food. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., free swimming will be offered to the first 60 swimmers.
LAKE CITY — Western Days 2026 begins TODAY and runs through SUNDAY. The events begin TODAY with a 7 p.m. pool party at the Lake City Aquatic Center, followed by live music from 8 p.m. to midnight with DJ Brandon Maclagan at the Top Rail Saddle Club Beer Garden on the Town Square. SATURDAY’s events include a 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. breakfast hosted by Lohrville and Churdan Lions Clubs, 8:15 a.m. Stewart Memorial Kid’s Dash, free for young runners; 8:30 a.m.: 2-mile Fun Run and Walk with $35 day-of registration; Town Square Takeover, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:Vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly activities; 10:30 a.m.: Calhoun County Cattlemen begin serving; 1 p.m. Kid’s Pedal Tractor Pull. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. will be a Central School Preservation Open House. At 11 a.m., the Western Days Parade rolls through town; lineup begins at 10:15 a.m. at Goins Park. From noon to 2 p.m. is a bingo fundraiser at the Community Memorial Building. At 7:30 p.m., the Top Rail Saddle Club Rodeo will take place with fireworks to follow. Live music by Travis Klingson Entertainment can be heard at the rodeo beer garden. On SUNDAY, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., breakfast will be served at the Top Rail Saddle Club. There will also be an 11:30 a.m. church service at the Saddle Club grounds, 12:30 p.m. Pickleball Tournament at Goins Park and Grand Finale Rodeo at 4:30 p.m., with the first-ever Mutton Bustin’ event for the littlest cowboys and cowgirls. Open golf will be available throughout the weekend at the Lake City Country Club.
CLARION — The North Iowa Food & Community Care Network and Wright Community Connections are presenting the performance of Mary Swander’s new play “Coop,” starring Rip Russell, to be held at 1 p.m. TODAY at the Clarion Public Library, 302 N. Main St. The play tells the story of conscientious objectors in World War II who were interned in a chicken coop under guard during the war.
MANSON — Greater Crater Days will be held TODAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY. Today’s events include Heartland Bank Appreciation Meal from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Truck pulls at the Fairgrounds at 6 p.m., and outdoor movie at the MACC softball field at 8 p.m. Saturday begins with the Trail Fun Run/Walk from 8 to 10 a.m., Middleton Classic golf tournament at 9 a.m., Parade at 10 a.m., Food and vendors from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 3D Pen — bubble wand activity from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., foam party from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., bingo at the VFW, dunk tank, human foosball, barrel train, Calhoun County Conservation craft, mechanical bull, all from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Crash My Crater featuring Aaron Lewis at 5 p.m. Sunday’s activities include the Middleton Classic golf tournament at 9 a.m., St. Paul Sunday Brunch at VFW from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., community church service at Gazebo Park led by Lifepoint at 10:30 a.m. (Bring your lawn chairs.), dog parade and hot dog meal at Good Samaritan from 1 to 3 p.m., and Car show, food vendor at Gazebo Park from 1 to 4 p.m.
