FDCSD board gets financial report
With summer well underway, the Fort Dodge Community School District Dodge Board of Education met at noon Monday, with most members attending remotely.
Superintendent Josh Porter reported students in eighth grade will be allowed to participate in higher level sports. He noted individual coaches will be crucial during the transition period.
A seventh-grade science teacher has been hired.
There was a revenue report from Brandon Hansel, executive director of financial services for the school district. The district has collected about $44 million in revenue year to date, which is 88.3 percent of the budget. The district has spent about $40 million, which is 78.1 percent of the budget.
The next board meeting will be July 24.
