In the criminal complaints filed against Walker, officers wrote that he admitted to drinking prior to the crash. They wrote that he “showed many signs of impairment” on field sobriety tests.
He had a blood alcohol content of .185, according to the criminal complaints. Under Iowa law, a person is presumed to be intoxicated when they have a blood alcohol content of .08.
