Garden Clubs meet in Webster City

Nicole Jonas, owner of Red Granite Farms of Boone, front left, joins with the other members of the Federated Garden Clubs of Iowa as they open their District 6 meeting at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Tuesday. There were 60 members who attended from Algona, Fort Dodge, Emmetsburg, Estherville and Madrid. The meeting hosted by the members of the Town and County Garden Club of Webster City, who have been a Federated Club since 1955. Jonas spoke on pollinating plants in the morning, and Allison Studer of Webster City spoke in the afternoon on the do's and don'ts of landscaping. The clubs were welcomed by co-presidents Peggy Miller and Joan Nessa. Country Twist Boutique owner Peggy Joslin also provided a welcome on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, the City of Webster City and business community.
