Crash sends one to hospital

One woman was taken to the hospital after these two cars collided in the 100 block of Avenue C Tuesday afternoon. The crash was reported at about 2:50 p.m. It involved a Dodge Neon and a Chevrolet Cobalt. The driver of the Dodge was taken to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center by ambulance. The mailbox belonging to the home at 132 Ave. C was knocked down and ended up under the Chevrolet. The Fort Dodge police and fire departments responded. The crash remains under investigation by Fort Dodge police.
