A blazing motorhome confronted Fort Dodge firefighters late Saturday night.

At 11:53 p.m. a motorhome on fire was reported at 205 M St.

When firefighters arrived, they found the vehicle engulfed in flames in the backyard of the home. A single hoseline was used to put it out.

The fire was contained to the motorhome, which was destroyed.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Fort Dodge police assisted firefighters at the scene. A MidAmerican Energy crew was called to handle a downed power line.
