Super Saturday set at Butler School
Play & Learn Center event to have ocean theme
The Fort Dodge Play & Learn Center has been open and operating in downtown Fort Dodge for more than three years.
Located on the second floor of the Wells Fargo Building, 822 Central Ave., the space offers hands-on and engaging play opportunities for children and families to enjoy.
There are five stations at Fort Dodge Play & Learn Center: art, sensory, engineering, movement and imagination.
Sessions are hosted on various weekdays and weekends, changing seasonally based on volunteer availability.
For the second year in a row, The Fort Dodge Play & Learn Center has teamed up with Cargill to offer special Super Saturday sessions throughout the winter at area schools.
Cargill sponsors the entrance fees so all Super Saturday sessions are free for the families.
This coming Saturday will be one of the Super Saturday sessions. It will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Butler Elementary School, 945 S. 18th St. All of the activities will have an ocean theme.
The first one, held this winter at Duncombe Elementary School, was considered a huge success.
The schools provide space at no charge.
Future Super Saturdays are planned at St. Edmond Catholic School and the Early Childhood Center.
