A series of major construction contracts and more budget work are on the agenda for the Fort Dodge City Council tonight.

The council meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 819 First Ave. S., with a budget workshop.

The council will discuss budget options for the Dodger Area Rapid Transit bus service.

There will also be discussion of the general fund and the property tax levy.

The council’s regular business meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building.

During that session, the council will consider awarding contracts for these projects:

• A new water main on North Seventh Street by Loomis Park.

• Painting lines on streets.

• Concrete repairs on streets.

• Asphalt paving.
