Denver flights announced for Fort Dodge Regional Airport

A United Express operated by SkyWest flight is shown at the Fort Dodge Regional Airport. The first flights arrived and departed on March 1, 2021. Service to Denver was added in October 2021, but the service was canceled in April 2022. Those flights will resume on May 21.

The Fort Dodge Regional Airport will soon offer flights Monday through Friday to Denver, Colorado. The new United Express flights will be operated by SkyWest Airlines and begin May 21.

“We are excited for the additional access these flights to Denver will provide and are beyond grateful that SkyWest is adding it into our flight schedule,” said Sarah Rustvold, director of aviation at Fort Dodge Regional Airport.

The Fort Dodge Regional Airport previously had flights to Denver from October 2021 to April 2022.

“I appreciate all those in the community — individuals and businesses — who have voiced their support for bringing a flight to Denver back to Fort Dodge as an option,” said Rustvold.

United Express will have five weekly roundtrip flights to Denver with morning arrivals and evening departures.

According to Rustvold, the flights are currently scheduled to leave Denver at 7:40 a.m.and arrive in Fort Dodge at 10:37 a.m. They will depart Fort Dodge at 6:35 p.m. and arrive in Denver at 7:34 p.m.

Fort Dodge travelers will have five weekly roundtrip United Express flights to Denver. According to Rustvold, there will continue to be daily roundtrip flights to Chicago O’Hare International Airport as well.

“Prices are competitive, so always check the fare from Fort Dodge,” said Rustvold. “And don’t forget to factor in our free parking.”
