Fort Dodge police are seeking a suspect in connection with a Sunday morning shooting that injured a man.
Davontrez R. McCuddin, 22, of Fort Dodge, is wanted on a charge of attempt to commit murder, police reported.
Webster County Crime Stoppers is offering a $250 reward for information which leads to the arrest of McCuddin.
McCuddin is considered armed and dangerous, police said. Anyone who knows where he can be found is asked to contact law enforcement immediately.
Friends of the injured man identified him as Demontray Dungy on a GoFundMe page as they attempt to raise money to support him
The shooting was reported at 12:35 a.m. Sunday at 903 Eighth St. S.W.
On the GoFundMe page, friends wrote that Dungy “was shot multiple times after someone knocked on his door.”
He was found on the porch of the home. He was treated at the scene by police and paramedics before being transported to UntyPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center. He was later transferred to a hospital in Des Moines.
On the GoFundMe page, organizers wrote that donations will be used to support Dungy and to clean up his house.
“The family is wishing to ask donations to clean up his home due to the significant amount of blood that was lost from the gunshot wounds sustained,” they wrote. “The carpet will need to be replaced and other areas in the home cleaned and repaired from this tragic event.”
