FD council to consider budget, water main work
The Fort Dodge City Council will continue its work on the proposed budget for the next fiscal year and start a couple of water main projects when it meets tonight.
The council will get started at 5 p.m. with a budget workshop in the Municipal Building, 819 First Ave. S.
During that workshop the proposed budgets for the police and fire departments will be reviewed.
The council will also begin talking about the property tax levy for the fiscal year that begins July 1.
The council’s regular business meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building. During that session the council will consider awarding contracts for two water main projects. One project is along Kenyon Road between U.S. Highway 169 and Triton Drive. The other is along Avenue O near Avenue B.
Doyle Construction, of Fort Dodge, is the apparent low bidder for both jobs.
