The Fort Dodge Veterans Day commemoration will be held at a different location this year.
The ceremony will be held at Fort Dodge Middle School, 800 N. 32nd St.
Parking will be available on the south side of the school, off Dodger Drive.
The ceremony will begin at 10:50 a.m.
The keynote speaker will be Lt. Col. George Mosby, deputy chief of staff of the Iowa Army National Guard.
“We have invited families of troops who were recently deployed with the 194th Field Artillery Battalion,” said Tom Dorsey, the organizer of the ceremony.
That Fort Dodge based Iowa Army National Guard unit is now on active duty in the Middle East.
“Please join us in honoring all those who have served this country,” Dorsey said.
Last year, the Veterans Day ceremony was held beneath the Albert Habhab Veterans Memorial Bridge on First Avenue South to mark the installation of new signs and banners that emphasize the structure as a tribute to veterans.
Prior to last year, the ceremony was held annually at St. Edmond Catholic School.
