One person was taken to the hospital following a crash at Second Avenue North and 25th Street Friday evening. The crash occurred at 5:05 p.m. and effectively shut down the intersection during a busy travel period. A Chevrolet Silverado pickup struck the rear end of a Dodge minivan. Both vehicles were eastbound. A woman who was in the minivan was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center. The Fort Dodge Police and Fire departments responded.
