First Avenue South between 15th and 16th streets is closed because part of the brick facade of a building fell into the street.

South 16th Street between Central Avenue and First Avenue South is also closed.

Bricks and masonry fell from the uppermost portion of the facade of a building in the 1500 block of First Avenue South at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday. No one was injured and no vehicles were damaged.

The Fort Dodge police, fire and public works departments were on the scene.
