POCAHONTAS — PocaHAUNTus is TODAY and SATURDAY at the Pocahontas Fire Station Shed, 300 N.W. Seventh St. A Lights On portion is from 6 to 7 p.m. today only, which is friendlier for younger children as well as older adults. From 7 to 10 p.m. is Lights Off, which is the main experience for those who enjoy getting scared. Admission is $15 per person. All participants must sign a waiver. Children ages 12 and under must be with a parental guardian unless they are going during the lights-on time. Proceeds will benefit local non-profits and community projects, the fire department and the chamber.

OTHO — Otho United Methodist Church, Otho, is holding its annual Pork Loin Dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. SATURDAY at the church. The menu is pork loin, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, baked beans, rolls, pies and drink. Tickets are $12 for ages 12 and up, $6 for children ages 5 to 11 and free for preschoolers.

FORT DODGE — The Fort Museum Opera House is hosting Clairvoyant Dr. Rebecca Foster TODAY and SATURDAY in the Opera House. From 6 to 8 p.m. today and Saturday, there will be gallery readings. Admission for the gallery readings is $32.29 per person. Today from 8:30 to 11 p.m. will be a VIP Investigation for $52.93 per person with limited seating.
