OTHO — Otho Betterment Committee is holding its ninth annual Chili Cook-off and Bloody Mary Contest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. SATURDAY in Otho City Park. There will be kids activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., silent auction from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Market in the Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Bloody Mary public tasting from noon to 1 p.m. for $5 per person, and chili public tasting from 2 to 3 p.m. or until out for $5 per person, food trucks and raffles.
BADGER — Badger Lions Club Pancake Breakfast is 8 a.m. to noon SUNDAY at the Badger Fire Station. The menu is all the pancakes you can eat plus sausage, eggs, orange juice, milk or coffee for a freewill donation. Those attending are encouraged to bring used eyeglasses and hearing aids for the Lions to recycle. Net profit from the breakfast will support community and Lions projects.
MANSON — Pumpkin Fest is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. SATURDAY and 1 to 5 p.m. SUNDAY at Twin Lakes Bible Camp, 7718 Twin Lakes Road, Manson. A wristband is $7 and zipline rides are $5.
HUMBOLDT — The 20th annual Pumpkins and Ponies is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. SATURDAY and 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. SUNDAY at Springvale Farm, 2603 Lone Tree Road, Humboldt. There will be wagon rides, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pony rides, performance by the U.S. Veterans Mounted Drill Team, food, live music, displays and vendors. Admission is free.
LEHIGH — The Lehigh Methodist Church will be serving a Second Sunday Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. SUNDAY for a freewill offering. The menu is four or five different soups, drink and dessert.
WEBSTER CITY — Wilson Brewer Park Foundation Fall Fest is 1 to 4 p.m. SATURDAY in Wilson Brewer Park, 220 Ohio St., Webster City. There will be live music, fall vendors, pumpkin painting, petting zoo, barrel train rides and food trucks.

FORT DODGE — Fort Dodge Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at 11 N. 25th St.
FORT DODGE — Flea Market is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. SATURDAY and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. SUNDAY at the Webster County Fairgrounds, 22770 Old Highway 169 S. Saturday gate admission is $2 per person or $5 maximum per vehicle. Sundays are free.
FORT DODGE — First United Methodist Church, 127 N. 10th St., is holding a Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. TODAY and 9 a.m. to noon SATURDAY at the church, enter the church on the west side, steps or elevator. On Saturday only, large items will be half price and $4 per bag.
FORT DODGE — Daybreak Rotary is holding its Bowl of Chili and Jumbo Cinnamon Roll Supper from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. SATURDAY at First Presbyterian Church, 1111 Fifth Ave. N. The supper will be drive through only. Tickets are $10 per person. Call Letitia at 515-570-8936 for tickets. Proceeds are donated back into the community.
FORT DODGE — Community Orchard Apple Fest is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. SATURDAY and SUNDAY at the orchard, 2237 160th St. There will be live music from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and the petting zoo will be open on Sunday only. Farm combo tickets are $28, Back 40 admission only is $15, Corn Maze admission is $10, Pumpkin from The Pumpkin Patch is $8 and the Petting Zoo on Sunday is $2. FORT DODGE — Webster County Conservation is holding Trick or Treating from 4 to 6 p.m. SATURDAY at Kennedy Park Campgrounds, 1415 Nelson Ave., and Gypsum City OHV Campground, 2390 Mill Road. Dress in your favorite costume and walk the campgrounds for trick or treating.
FORT DODGE — Fort Dodge Area Symphony Concert “Oktoberbest!” is 3 p.m. SUNDAY at Fort Dodge Middle School, 800 N. 32nd St. Admission is by season membership or $15 for adults and free for students.
FORT DODGE — VFW Post and Auxiliary will hold a Hot Beef Dinner at 4:30 p.m. until gone SATURDAY at the VFW, 518 S. 29th St. The menu is hot beef sandwich, real mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, dessert and coffee. Tickets are $12, dine in or carryout.
FORT DODGE — The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and Sewing Group will hold a Quilt, Craft and Bake Sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. SATURDAY at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1023 S. 27th St. Lunch including loose meat sandwiches, chips, bars and drinks will be available for a freewill offering. Proceeds go to DSAOC and home missions.
