Gunner, a Labrador, licks his chops during Almost Home Humane Society of North Central Iowa’s 15th annual Fur Ball in April at the Laramar Ballroom in downtown Fort Dodge. The shelter is holding a new fundraiser on Friday.
Every move on the dance floor during an upcoming party will help dogs and cats in a local animal shelter find their way to a real, permanent home.
The event is Almost Homecoming and it’s a fundraiser for the Almost Home Humane Society of North Central Iowa.
This homecoming-themed dance party will be from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday at the Cardiff Center in Fort Frenzy, 3232 First Ave. S.
Admission is $10.
“Where do you go if you want friendship, unconditional love and fun?” asked Rhonda Fitchett Hass, president of the humane society’s board. “Almost Home.”
“Where do you go for fun, friendship, food and more fun? Almost Homecoming, of course,” she said.
She invited area residents to join for a night of dancing with music provided by a DJ, all while supporting the unconditional love of the animals at the Almost Home shelter that are waiting to be adopted.
Almost Homecoming is sponsored by Gary and Cindy Aljets, Steve and Nancy Conrad, Citizens Community Credit Union, CJ Bio America, First State Bank Five Points Events, Fort Dodge Ford Lincoln Toyota, Holmes Animal Clinic, Laufersweiler Funeral Home, Stumpy’s Snow and Mow and The Better Way Project.
