The name of the man who was shot to death Tuesday morning has been released by Fort Dodge police.

Justo Cruz Calindo, 45, of Fort Dodge, was the victim. Police released the name Thursday following an extensive effort to notify the man’s family.

Cruz Calindo was shot at about 1:04 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of North 28th Street.

Rolman Humberto Recinos Gonzales, 38, of 524 N. 28th St., was arrested in connection with the shooting. He faces charges of first degree murder; trafficking in stolen weapons, first offense; and person ineligible to carry dangerous weapons. He is being held in the Webster County Jail with a cash-only bond of just over $1 million.
