UnityPoint Clinic Orthopedics — Fort Dodge welcomed Dr. Greg Hill, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in sports medicine, joint replacement and advanced orthopedic procedures. He is now accepting patients at UnityPoint Clinic Orthopedics.
“I’m excited to join a close-knit community and support local athletes and youth programs,” Hill said. “Whether it’s helping an athlete return to the field after an injury or improving mobility for someone who wants to stay active with their grandchildren, my goal is always the same — to listen, educate and find the best treatment plan for each patient.”
Hill specializes in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery, rotator cuff repair, ACL reconstruction and joint replacement. He also offers a quadriceps-sparing knee replacement technique, which avoids cutting the quadriceps tendon. This approach often results in less pain and faster recovery for patients.
Hill grew up in a small Iowa farm town and earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering. He completed medical school and orthopedic residency training at the University of Iowa and in Detroit. He comes to Fort Dodge after practicing in Burlington and Cedar Rapids, where he built a reputation for patient-focused care and innovative surgical techniques.
Outside of medicine, Hill enjoys hiking, backpacking and mountaineering, with expeditions to Patagonia, Peru and Mount Rainier among his favorite experiences. He and his wife, Lisa, have two adult children: a son working in graphic design in Des Moines and a daughter currently pursuing theater studies.
UnityPoint Clinic Orthopedics — Fort Dodge partners with Center for Neurosciences, Orthopaedics & Spine, PC (commonly referred to as “CNOS”), based out of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, to provide coordinated orthopedic care.
