A Dodge pickup truck was stuck in a large pile of rocks that spilled onto U.S. Highway 169 just north of Avenue O Monday afternoon. The gravel spilled from a truck that left the scene, and the pickup became stuck in the pile. The incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. and closed one southbound lane. Mid-Iowa Towing, of Fort Dodge, pulled the pickup out of the rock pile. Crews from the Iowa Department of Transportation used three dump trucks and two loaders to clean up the spilled rocks. A Webster County sheriff’s deputy was also on the scene.
