Eagle Grove police seek help in identifying vandalism suspects
EAGLE GROVE — Police in Eagle Grove are asking the community for help in identifying who vandalized the city’s parks Sunday evening.
According to police, the vandalism at Fishpond Park and Greenwood Park happened between 10 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday. The suspects spray painted racial slurs, swastikas, and other words on the local Eagle Scout monument, portable toilets, and city buildings.
According to police, the names of individuals that were painted on items in the park have been investigated and those individuals were not involved in the vandalism.
“We appreciate any and all help in assisting us in holding the person or people accountable for their actions,” the Police Department said in a Facebook post.
