FONDA — Fonda Arts Center, Fonda, is hosting An Afternoon of Country Music at 3 p.m. SUNDAY at the center. Local vocalists will cover country hits made famous over the years. Admission and refreshments (root beer floats) are complimentary.
POCAHONTAS — The Princess City Car Show is 3 to 6 p.m. SATURDAY on Main Street in Pocahontas. There will be door prizes, dash plaques, live music and food.
LU VERNE — The 2025 Support Our Veterans Ride is SUNDAY at The Handlebar, Lu Verne. Sign-in is 9 to 10:45 a.m. Registration is $25 per vehicle, all types of vehicles are welcome. Breakfast burritos will be available at sign-in. The ride will leave Lu Verne at 11 a.m. Stops include Johnny’s at Wesley, Corwith Legion at Corwith, The Gold Bar in Goldfield, Blue Moose in Renwick, Flipside in Lu Verne and returning to The Handlebar, which will offer a nacho and baked potato bar following the ride. Lee Klett and his band will perform from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be silent and live auctions and a cash giveaway after the ride. One hundred percent of your sign-in fee goes directly back to a veteran of your choice.

FORT DODGE — Community Christian School is holding a Car Wash Fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. SATURDAY at Shimkat Motor Co., 3126 Fifth Ave. S. All proceeds will go toward the school.
FORT DODGE — Fort Dodge Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at 11 N. 25th St.
FORT DODGE — The Webster County Historical Society is holding a World War II celebrating the 75th anniversary of the end of the war from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SATURDAY in the large meeting room at the Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave. The public is invited to come and celebrate, visit with veterans and learn about those who served in the war from the Webster County area. The event is free.
FORT DODGE — The Fort Dodge Public Library, 424 Central Ave., is holding a STEM Drop In from 4 to 5 p.m. TODAY in the library’s large meeting room. Children ages 6 years old and up with their caregivers are invited. Children can try their hand at putting together dinosaur bones, see how motion and friction work with car race ramps, build a light circuit to see how electricity works, use math and science to create art and more.
FORT DODGE — One Vision will hold an ice cream social from 4 to 7 p.m. TODAY at 1470 21st Ave. N. The event includes ice cream floats, a hot dog dinner, and music and dancing. It is open to the public and there is no charge.
