LAKE VIEW — Stone Pier Summer Concert series presents Robert Jon and The Wreck with Joe Stamm Band at 5 p.m. SATURDAY at Black Hawk Lake. There is no admission charge. Concertgoers are allowed to bring food and beverages to the picnic-style performances, food is available for sale with all proceeds directly benefiting the concert series.

HARCOURT — Harcourt Appreciation Days are 7 to 11 p.m. TODAY and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. SATURDAY in Harcourt. There is a street dance today from 7 to 11 p.m. Citywide garage sales are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. TODAY and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY. Saturday’s activities include food court, 1:30 p.m. parade, bake walk, games for kids including FOAM party/train rides, Jordan Reuter playing guitar, Rollie’s Place Tours, 111 Linden St., from 2 to 5 p.m., and fire department bags tournament.

FORT DODGE — The ninth annual Tee’d Off Against Violence 4 Person Best Ball Golf Tournament is 9 a.m. SATURDAY at the Fort Dodge Country Club, 370 Country Club Drive. The tournament benefits the Homicide and Other Violent Crimes program. Team entry is $300.

FORT DODGE — Shane Halverson’s 50th Birthday Bash and Cancer Benefit is 5 to 8 p.m. SUNDAY at Rides Bar and Grill Banquet Center, 723 S. 31st St. There will be a freewill donation meal of pork loin, sides and dessert, a silent auction ending at 7:30 p.m. and music. Halverson was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2017 which has returned for a third time as stage 4, including both lungs. Halverson is married with five children.
