Two deaths under investigation in WC
WEBSTER CITY — The Webster City Police Department is investigating two deaths discovered at a residence Monday.
Officers were dispatched to a residence at 1201 James St. at approximately 10:45 a.m. Monday, Police Chief Steve Hanson said in a media release.
“Upon arrival, officers located two deceased adults at the property,” he said. “The cause of death remains under investigation, and the identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.”
Hanson added, “At this time, investigators believe this is an isolated incident, and there is no known threat to the general public.”
According to the Hamilton County Assessor’s Office online record, Ashley N. Harbert is the registered owner of the property.
Hanson said the investigation remains ongoing.
“Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Webster City Police Department,” he said.
The Webster City Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Webster City Fire Department and the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
