LAKE VIEW — Stone Pier Summer Concert series presents The Lowdown Drifters and Myron Elkins at 5 p.m. SATURDAY at Black Hawk Lake. There is no admission charge. Concertgoers are allowed to bring food and beverages to the picnic-style performances, food is available for sale with all proceeds directly benefitting the concert series.

ALGONA — Algona Fireworks are at dusk FRIDAY.

EMMETSBURG — Emmetsburg Fourth of July celebration is 11 a.m. to dusk SATURDAY. There will be food trucks, market vendors, patriotic pet parade at 2 p.m, Mayoral address and VFW Color Guard at 2:15 p.m., municipal band concert at 2:30 p.m., children’s activities from 3 to 5 p.m., Cody Hicks concert from 5 to 8 p.m. and fireworks at dusk over Five Island Lake.

GOWRIE — The Gowrie Independence Day celebration includes a parade at 10 a.m., Freedom Cruise Car Show at Laurel Park from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. FRIDAY, Bill Riley Talent Show at 2 p.m. in the Betty Nyght Hamilton Bandshell in Gowrie City Park and fireworks at 10 p.m. FRIDAY, and the Central Plains FFA Tractor Ride beginning at 7:30 a.m. SATURDAY. HUMBOLDT — Humboldt Fourth of July Parade is 7 p.m. FRIDAY in downtown Humboldt and fireworks will be at 10 p.m. FRIDAY at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds.

OTHO — Otho Fourth of July celebration is 7 a.m. until dusk FRIDAY. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Otho Fire Station, vendor show and food truck from noon to 6 p.m. at the Old School, parade at 1:30 p.m., car show at 4 p.m., live music in the park from 6 to 9 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.

TWIN LAKES — Twin Lakes Fourth of July Fireworks at are 10 p.m. FRIDAY with simultaneous patriotic music played on KTLB, 105.9. Rain date is Saturday.

WEST BEND — West Bend Fourth of July celebration is FRIDAY, SATURDAY and SUNDAY in West Bend. Today is the FFA Alumni Antique Tractor ride at 7 a.m. at West Bend Red Power and WBM Cross Country 5K race at 6 p.m. at the WBM track. On Saturday, the parade is at 11 a.m., followed by food stands, yard games, music petting zoo, kids pedal tractor pull, free swimming, bingo, kids water fights, Little Miss and Mister contest, auction and fireworks at 10 p.m. On Sunday, there will be a breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. to noon at the Fire Department.
