Help sought for family who lost home in fire

The Stallings family of rural Webster County suffered a devastating loss on April 26 when a fire ignited in their home.

The house at 2148 320th St. sustained massive damage, leaving Danny and Joann Stallings and their 13-year-old son, Wyatt, homeless. Their pets died and most of their personal property was destroyed.

Relatives are now helping the family and are asking for the public’s help.

A Go Fund Me page to accept donations has been set up at https://gofund.me/7ad099c3.

According to Caitlin Soto, a niece of Joann Stallings, the family needs food, clothing, shoes, and bedding. Some games or activities suitable for Wyatt Stallings would also be welcome.

Soto said the needed clothing sizes include women’s 3XL, men’s XL and men’s small.

She said the family is also hoping to get a camper to put on their land so they have a place to live while the house is being repaired.

Starting at $2.99/week.
