Motor spark causes fire in Renwick
Fire remains under investigation

RENWICK -- A spark from a motor caused a fire at Corteva Agriscience in Renwick Thursday morning.
According to Humboldt County Emergency Management Director Kyle Bissell, the fire started in the discard area when a spark ignited discarded materials in a filter.
Firefighters from both the Renwick and Goldfield fire departments were on scene and were able to extinguish the fire. They also checked for fire extension and completed an overhaul of the machinery.
All staff were able to evacuate Corteva Agriscience safely. No injuries were reported.
According to Bissell, the fire remains under investigation.
