Abrams defeats Lloyd for Auditor

Republican Shaunna Abrams will replace Democrat Doreen Pliner as Webster County auditor in January.

Abrams easily defeated Democrat Krystal Lloyd in Tuesday’s general election to replace Pliner who is retiring.

Abrams won 64.97 percent of the vote, while Llody won 34.72 percent, according to unofficial election returns released by Secretary of State Paul Pate.

Those results show Abrams won 9,222 votes while Lloyd won 6,470 votes.
