Bevers-McGivney pleads not guilty
ROCKWELL CITY — A Gowrie man accused of killing a 17-year-old young woman in Farnhamville last month has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and demanded his right to a speedy trial.
Nathaniel Bevers-McGivney entered a written not guilty plea Friday morning in Calhoun County Court.
Bevers-McGivney, 21, is charged with first degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Michele ‘Luna’ Jackson last month. A criminal complaint alleges that Bevers-McGivney “deliberately and premeditatedly” cut Jackson’s throat.
