A Rockwell City woman was killed early Sunday morning when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck an oncoming semi.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 30-year-old Sasha Brown, of Rockwell City, was westbound in a 2010 GMC Acadia on County Road D20 on the curve near Hayes Avenue at approximately 3:15 a.m. when she crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 1995 Peterbilt semi driven by 47-year-old Wyatt Lundberg, of Fort Dodge.

Brown was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed in the collision. Lundberg was injured in the accident and after being checked over by medical staff at the scene was released.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Webster County Sheriff’s Department and the Moorland Fire Department.
