Dodger Academy is shut down
FDCSD pledges to help families
The Dodger Academy after-school program has been discontinued, according to an announcement from the Fort Dodge Community School District.
The change is effective immediately, the district reported.
“We understand that this closure will have a significant impact on some of our school families, and we are committed to supporting them through this transition,” district Superintendent Josh Porter said in a written statement.
“We are actively providing information to help families navigate these changes and will be offering transportation assistance to ensure our students continue to have access to the education and resources they need,” he added.
To support families affected by this change, the district will provide detailed information on alternative after-school programming options available in the community. Additionally, transportation assistance will be made available to families through the Learning Beyond the Bell grant.
For more information or assistance, families can contact the district office at 515-576-1161.
