Grammy-nominated songwriter and national recording artist Ryan Stevenson is hosting a “Gospel Nights: Unplugged” event at the Laramar Ballroom in Fort Dodge tonight.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for the concert, which is being presented by the Brady O’Brien Live non-profit organization. Local musicians Brady O’Brien, Grace Casciato and Tammy Johnson take the stage at 6 p.m., with Stevenson to follow at 7 p.m.

Stevenson’s performance will include his Gospel Music Association Dove Award-winning song, “Eye of the Storm,” as well as tracks from his new album, “Able.”

A number of area churches joined to form a committee and help bring Stevenson to Fort Dodge, including Holy Trinity Parish, Prairie Lakes Church, CrossWay Evangelical Free Church, Trinity United Methodist Church and Victory Christian Fellowship in Jewell. Pastor Gabriel Casciato and his wife, Wendy, of CrossWay teamed with Amy Kaufman of Prairie Lakes and donated the remaining balance from the “Disciple” concert at the Laramar last November to support this cause.

Stevenson, an American Christian singer and guitarist, became a Grammy and Billboard Music Award nominee as a co-writer of TobyMac’s 2014 hit single, “Speak Life.” His first studio album, “Fresh Start,” was released in 2015 and eventually reached the Top 10 in Billboard Magazine for top Christian albums.
