Raises approved for Webster County employees

2 percent boost OK’d by board of supervisors

Webster County employees will receive a 2 percent raise when the new fiscal year begins July 1.

The Board of Supervisors approved the increase unanimously with no discussion Tuesday morning.

The 2 percent raises for unionized employees were included in previously approved contracts. All the increases are included in the 2024-2025 county budget.

Here are the salaries elected officials and department heads will receive, including the new raises, beginning July 1.

• Jamie Johll, engineer, $142,545

• Darren Driscoll, attorney, $139,717

• Luke Fleener, sheriff, $115,072

• Andy McGill, management information systems director, $109,135

• Angela Vinson, assessor, $103,627

• Ted Vaughn, human resources director, $101,703

• Matt Cosgrove, conservation director, $83,570

• Brenda Angstrom, treasurer, $83,569

• Lindsay Laufersweiler, recorder, $83,569

• Doreen Pliner, auditor, $83,569

• Jeff Johnson, planning and zoning administrator, $81,878

• Dylan Hagen,emergency management coordinator, $67,582

The county supervisors did not include themselves in the 2 percent increase. When it met early this year, the county Compensation Board did not recommend any increases for the supervisors.

As a result the salary for board Chairwoman Niki Conrad will remain at $47,407.

The salaries for supervisors Mark Campbell, Nick Carlson, Austin Hayek and Bob Thode will remain at $46,369.
