County supervisors buy equipment
A vehicle and some machinery were purchased by the Webster County Board of Supervisors Tuesday.
The board voted to buy a Chevrolet Colorado pickup from Kemna Auto of Fort Dodge for $38,285.
It will be used by Planning and Zoning Administrator Jeff Johnson. It will replace a 2015 Ford Explorer.
Fort Dodge Ford Lincoln Toyota offered the only other bid of $42,791.
The board also voted to buy two disc mowers from Kermit Miskell & Sons, of Story City, for $29,200. They will be used by the Road Department.
The Road Department is also getting two new Caterpillar backhoes from Ziegler Caterpillar, of Fort Dodge, for $319,312.
The board approved the purchases on a series of unanimous votes.
