A National Honor Society induction ceremony was held recently at Fort Dodge Senior High School.

During the ceremony, two new senior members, three honorary members who are foreign exchange students and 49 junior members were inducted.

“The 2024 junior inductees will be the biggest during my tenure as the NHS adviser and, I believe, one of, if not the biggest, ever,” said Ryan Takatsuka, the teacher who is the National Honor Society adviser.

“We selected just shy of 50 candidates,” he added. “This grade had a high number of qualifiers and a high percentage of those submitted candidacy packets. Hopefully, this shows not only a strong academic class, but also a class that is highly engaged. I look forward to working with them next year, and as always, have enjoyed working with current seniors of the NHS as well. They put more practice than ever into ensuring we had a smooth induction ceremony.”
