McCaulley hired as county budget director

The Webster County government will soon have a new budget and finance director.

The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday hired Deena McCaulley for the post. She will begin June 10 with a starting salary of $80,000.

She will replace Jen Sheda, who moved to a different position.

McCaulley is currently the operations coordinator of the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance. She started working for the alliance in 2021 as office manager.

Before joining the staff of the Growth Alliance, she was administrative assistant to the chief executive officer and human resources director at the Community Health Center of Fort Dodge.

She is a graduate of Manson Northwest Webster High School who earned an associate degree from Iowa Central Community College.

Also on Monday, the board hired Joe Hanson as system administrator for management information systems. He will work for MIS Director Andy McGill.

Hanson will start June 3 and have a starting salary of $70,000.

Starting at $4.94/week.
