One reported dead after crash
-Messenger photos by Bill Shea <br> One person died when this Chevrolet pickup went off the road along South 32nd Street Friday afternoon. The crash happened at 2:13 p.m. in the 2000 block of South 32nd Street. The truck was apparently going north when it went off the road, knocked down a sign, crossed the Union Pacific Railroad tracks, crashed through a chainlink fence and came to rest in a ditch The crash remained under investigation by the Webster County Sheriff’s Department. The Fort Dodge fire and police departments and the county medical examiner’s office also responded to the scene.
